LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Prince George’s County school officials say a lockdown at a county high school has been lifted and all students and staff are safe.
DuVal High School in Lanham was temporarily locked down Wednesday because of what police say was a generic report of a gun, possibly in the school.
A spokesman for the county public school system said police investigated and determined it to be a “false alarm.”
Police say on their Twitter feed that no weapons were recovered and that the lockdown has been lifted.
