Three People Injured in Crash at D.C. Bus Stop

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Three people were injured when a vehicle crashed into a bus stop in Northeast D.C. on Wednesday afternoon.

D.C. police said the crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. at a bus stop along Sheriff Road between 45th Place and 46th Street outside Randall Memorial United Methodist Church. Three people who were waiting at the bus stop were injured when the car crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into the bus stop.

They were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries but authorities did not immediately know the extent of their injuries.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and was being questioned by police as part of the investigation.

Sheriff Road has been reopened in both directions, authorities said.
