Man Charged With Drinking Under the Influence in Glenn Dale Fatal Crash

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A man has been charged in connection with a Monday morning two-car accident in Glenn Dale that killed two people, his passengers, and injured two others.
Ramon Anaya-Ascencio, 35, is facing a total of eight charges including two counts of homicide by motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and two counts of vehicular manslaughter, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Shorty before 8 a.m. Monday officers were called to the 10800 block of Lanham-Severn Road for a report of a vehicle collision. Investigation showed that a Honda Accord driven by Anaya-Ascencio crossed in front of an Audi A6 in the westbound lane. The Audi struck the Honda on its passenger side.
The two passengers in the Honda, 46-year-old Leo Castro and 30-year-old Jose Rodrigeuez, both of Lanham, were taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Anaya-Ascencio is in Department of Corrections custody being held on a $200,000 bond.
