ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Funeral services have been scheduled for a Maryland Marine who was one of seven people killed last week when a mortar shell exploded during a training exercise in Nevada.
A viewing for 21-year-old Lance Cpl. William Taylor Wild IV will be held Thursday at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park. Services will be held Friday at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Annapolis.
Wild will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on April 2.
Wild was in a weapons platoon and his specialty was mortars. The platoon was to deploy in November to Afghanistan, where he had already done two tours and one in Kuwait.
