LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- Two men, brothers-in-law, are dead following what police believe was a murder-suicide in Prince Frederick Tuesday afternoon.

Calvert County Police responded to the 4500 block of Hallowing Point Road shortly after 1:30 p.m. to discover 45-year-old Raymond William Willard and 42-year-old Carl Ray Nerem Sr. both dead as a result of apparent gunshot wounds.

They both lived at the Hallowing Point Road address.

Authorities think a verbal dispute led Willard to shoot Nerem. They believe he then turned the gun on himself.

Sheriff’s Deputies had been to the residence just two days prior because of another altercation between the men, however there was no sign of injury at that time and neither wanted to pursue the matter.
