Two Injured in Drive-By Shooting at Gas Station

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A drive-by shooting at a Hyattsville gas station injured two people early Sunday morning.

Hyattsville police said they received a call at about 2:55 a.m. for a shooting at the Shell gas station at 5398 Queens Chapel Road. They said a dark-colored, four-door compact car drove past the gas station and fired 19 shots at a group of people who had stopped to get some food.

One man was shot in the stomach and buttocks and a woman, who was not with the group of people who were shot at, was shot on her right hand and another bullet grazed her lip, according to police.

The suspects fled the scene and police are searching for them.

The shooting remains under investigation.
