Sheriff: Va. Homeowner Fatally Shoots Intruder

STERLING, Va. — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s office says an intruder was shot and killed by a homeowner in Sterling.
The sheriff’s office says the shooting occurred about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 45900 block of Pullman Court. Authorities say the resident reported there was an unknown male in the home.
The identities of the intruder and the homeowner were not immediately released. The home is located on a suburban cul-de-sac near Route 28 and Route 7.
