WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — About 30,000 runners are expected to participate in the Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon and half marathon in Washington.

Saturday’s race starts at 7:30 a.m. at Constitution Avenue and 14th Street and ends at RFK Stadium.

About 6,000 people are expected to run the marathon, and 24,000 people are expected to run the half marathon. Metro will open at 5 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. to help runners get to the race.

Police will begin closing streets as early as midnight around the start and finish lines. The remaining course will be blocked off to traffic during the overnight.

Officials say all roads will be reopened to traffic by 2:30 p.m.

A full list of road closures is available on the Metropolitan Police Department website.
