WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Former Washington Redskins special teamer Lorenzo Alexander is the newest member of the Arizona Cardinals.
On Wednesday afternoon, Alexander’s agent tweeted: “Very excited about the new opportunity for client [Lorenzo Alexander] and his family in Arizona! The newest member of the Cardinals.”
Last season, Alexander was selected to the Pro Bowl squad for the first time in his career, serving as the NFC’s lone special teams representative.
Lorenzo was regarded as the ultimate team player, having dropped and added weight frequently to play new positions on both sides of the ball.

Due to a severely restricted salary cap, Washington was been forced to make several difficult decision, including the release of DeAngelo Hall. Reportedly less than $1 million under the cap as of Wednesday night, the team appears ready to move on from franchise tight end Fred Davis who will command salary substantially higher than the recently re-signed Logan Paulsen.
A short time after the signing was official, Alexander had this to say:
It's official, I'm an Arizona Cardinal! I appreciate all the love an Support I received in DC.—
