Anonymous Donor to Pay All Adoption Fees Through Saturday at Md. Shelter

MILLERSVILLE, Md. — He’s got the money if you’ve got the time.

An anonymous donor is paying all adoption fees for those who want to take dogs, cats and other critters home from the Anne Arundel County Animal Control shelter through Saturday.

“His goal in this is to help bring more attention to the need for adopters for animals in shelters,” shelter administrator Robin Small said.

All animals will come spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper and rabies and de-wormed. She encourages potential adopters to bring in a leash or cat carrier, since the process is sometimes a same-day affair.

The shelter’s hours are:

Thursday- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday- 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
