Woman Charged with DUI in I-66 Crash That Injured Two Children and Cop

FAIRFAX, Va. (CBSDC) — A 26-year-old woman is facing DUI charges following an accident that injured a Fairfax County officer and two young children along Interstate 66 near Monument Drive Monday night, police say.

Police say the children were riding with Diana Holloway when she slammed into a police cruiser already conducting a traffic stop in Fairfax around 10:15 p.m. Holloway continued for a short time before coming to rest after striking another car.

Police say the children, ages one and six, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly before the crash, police say they were looking for a reported drunk driver in the area.

The officer’s injuries are described as non-life threatening.
