(LANHAM, Md.) — The Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design’s 1869 Society are hosting their sixth annual ARTINI Friday, March 22.
The event is a mix of art and cocktails, with master mixologists creating drinks inspired by the Corcoran’s collection.
While the event culminates on the 22nd, tastings are being held all over the city allowing attendees to vote for the best cocktail which will be awarded the coveted “People’s Choice” award.
“I love to see what inspires the mixologists, and gets their creative juices flowing,” says ARTINI Chair Lindley Thornburg. “The restaurants do such a wonderful job bringing the artwork to life that I find it hard to drink the artinis because they are just so beautiful.”
Tickets to the main event are $125, but those attending the tastings can enter to win VIP tickets which includes a private tasting with live music.
Proceeds from the event will go to benefit NOW at the Corcoran, the Gallery’s contemporary art program for emerging and mid-career artists.
