WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - D.C. Police say an adult female found underneath a bridge in Northwest Saturday is dead.
Police say they received a report of a body from a concerned citizen in Rock Creek Park under the Massachusetts Ave. Bridge around 6:35 a.m.
A female was discovered and taken to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating whether the woman was pushed or jumped from the bridge.
She has not been identified.
Rock Creek Parkway was temporarily shut down between Virginia Avenue and Beach Drive while police investigated, but has since reopened.
