LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A three-car collision killed two people in Prince George’s County on Thursday, officials said.
Prince George’s County police said a man was driving a Mitsubishi near the intersection of Allentown Road and Westchester Drive in Camp Springs when it struck a Honda and then crossed into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with a Toyota.
Police said the driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 47-year-old Arnold Brown of Suitland, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 65-year-old Joyce Alexander of Temple Hills, was trapped in her car for a time after the collision but eventually was freed and taken via helicopter to a hospital. Police said Alexander later succumbed to her injuries.
Speed may have been a factor in the crash, police said.
