LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- A 75-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Silver Spring Thursday morning.
At about 9:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a call near the intersection of Colesville Road and Noyes Drive.
Preliminary investigation showed that a Honda Accord driven by 49-year-old Dennis Stewart, of Columbia, was traveling northbound on Colesville Road when it struck John Skelton Williams, who was crossing from east to west.
Williams was transported to Suburban Hospital. The circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.
