LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- A contract salt truck for the Maryland State Highway Administration hit an overpass on southbound I-270 Wednesday evening, causing Muddy Branch Road to close in both directions.

The two rights lanes of I-270 are closed at the overpass, as well.

Authorities say no one was injured and there was no significant damage done to the bridge.

The collision was the result of the truck’s payload being up too high as it traveled underneath the overpass.
