LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)– A Maryland real estate agent has been arrested and charged with burglary after an Arlington homeowner allegedly caught him stealing from a house for sale on the 4100 block of N. 11th Street.

Arlington County Police say the victim discovered several items of women’s clothing were missing from a bedroom. The video from motion-activated cameras placed in the home showed the realtor riffling through drawers and closets and ultimately pocketing several items of clothing.

Sixty-year-old Stephen Brumme, of Silver Spring, has been released on bail but has also had his real estate license suspended.

If your home has recently been on the market and you think you may have been a victim of burglary, the Arlington County Police Department urges you to contact them at 703-558-2222, or call Detective Timothy Parsons at 703-228-4172. Parsons can also be reached by email at Tparsons@arlingtonva.us.
