WASHINGTON — Motorists in the Washington metro area are paying three cents less at the pump when compared to a week ago.
AAA Mid-Atlantic said Sunday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the D.C. metro area is $3.81 this week. That’s compared to $3.84 a week ago.
Still, motorists in the region are paying more than a year ago. At this time last year drivers were paying $3.75 per gallon.
The price of gas in the region is six cents more than the national average.
AAA says analysts believe prices have yet to hit the spring price peak.
