LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) – Police arrested one suspect and still are searching for another after interrupting an armed robbery of a Prince George’s County home on Wednesday morning.

Prince George’s County police surrounded a house in the 6900 block of Opal Place in Seat Pleasant at about 9 a.m. after receiving a call for a residential armed robbery. An officer at the rear of the house was confronted by an armed suspect, and she fired at the suspect before he fled the scene.

Police didn’t know the missing suspect’s identity or if he was injured. No officers were injured.

A second suspect ran back inside the house and was arrested. One gun was recovered outside the house and another gun was found inside the house.

The involved officer is a six-year department veteran and she currently is on routine administrative leave, police said.
