WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A pile of bricks crowd an alley in Northwest DC following the overnight partial collapse of a two-story apartment building.

As the east-side wall of the building, located at 517 Q Street NW, crumbled away late Tuesday a gas meter was damaged, creating a minor gas leak. Officials have since shut off the gas and water lines to the home.

Police initially closed Q Street between 5th and 6th, but have since reopened the road to traffic.

It is unclear whether heavy rains in the area caused the building to buckle.

Officials say nobody was seriously injured in the collapse.
