LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The ramp from I-370 to I-270 in Gaithersburg is reopened following a nasty accident that forced authorities to block all lanes for a portion of Tuesday’s morning commute.
One vehicle jumped the guardrail, traveled down an embankment and overturned, trapping a driver roughly 25 feet off the roadway around 6 a.m. Police say at least one person was injured in the wreck. Their condition is not immediately known.
The ramp was reopened after a roughly 90-minute closure.
In a separate incident, all lanes on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway are reopened after a tractor-trailer careened off the road and into a concrete sound barrier near Lanham.
