LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A large fire is burning at a home in Springdale, Md. less than a mile and a half from a fire that claimed three lives earlier Thursday morning.
Firefighters responded to the one-story, single-family home in the 3900 block of 92nd Avenue around 9:30 a.m. and were quickly forced to evacuate due to deteriorating conditions, officials say.
Additional crews and apparatus have been called to assist on scene.
Prince George’s County fire spokesperson Mark Brady says a “Fire Task Force” has sounded with the fire spreading into an exposed structure.
Authorities say all occupants of the home are okay.
An adult male and two young children were killed in the earlier fire. Rescuers were successfully able to revive a third child who is hospitalized in critical condition.
