WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Metro is planning track work on the Orange, Blue, Red and Green lines during the Presidents Day weekend.
Shuttle buses will replace trains on parts of three lines. On the Orange Line, shuttle buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. Customers traveling through the work zone should add up to 30 minutes to their travel time.
On the Blue Line, buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Largo Town Center, leading to delays of up to 50 minutes for some passengers. And on Saturday only shuttle buses will replace trains between Greenbelt and College Park.
On the Red Line, trains will share a single track between Rhode Island Avenue and Takoma.
On the Green Line, buses will replace trains between Greenbelt and College Park, leading to delays of up to 15 minutes. Trains will operate normally between College Park and Branch Ave.
Metro says trains will operate on a Saturday schedule for the Presidents Day holiday Monday.
