WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — The Green and Yellow lines are slowly returning to normal after massive delays during Wednesday morning’s commute.
The backup began around 8 a.m. when a man intentionally stepped in front of a Yellow Line train at the Gallery Place station around 8 a.m., Metro says.
Trains single tracked between the Archives and Mt. Vernon Square stations for hours as authorities conducted an investigation. The track limitations created severely crowded conditions at stations with many riders posting their frustrations on social media.
