LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)– A Craigslist exchange went wrong in December, after a man who planned to sell his Macbook laptop was robbed by the supposed buyer, instead.

The meeting between the suspect and the victim was scheduled for Dec. 27 in the 1000 block of Elden Street in Herndon. The suspect fled the area after robbing the victim at gunpoint and was not heard from again.

After an investigation, Herndon detectives identified the subject as 25-year-old Mohamed Darseidia of Sterling. Darseidia was charged Tuesday with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detection Center without bond.
