Suspicious Package Stops Traffic Near Rockville Court House

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Streets in front of the District Court in Rockville have reopened after a suspicious package brought traffic to standstill.

Police closed the roads as they investigated the package, which was reported around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The court house was not evacuated, but entry into the building was denied during the investigation, police say.

Authorities were able to determine the package was not a threat shortly before 9:15 a.m.
