WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Traffic in Northwest D.C. was slowed Monday night when a tree fell on a Metrobus.
Metro officials say the bus was in the southbound lanes of 16th Street NW near Piney Branch Parkway when a tree fell on the rear of the vehicle.
There were passengers on the bus but no one was injured, Metro officials say. Passengers were put on another bus, but there was no significant damage to the bus.
Sixteenth Street is reopened after it was closed in both directions from Meridian Place to Spring Road for about two hours as police investigated the incident.
