LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A Maryland man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman nearly 25 years ago when she was 12 in Virginia.

Prince William County police said a 37-year-old woman, who now lives in West Virginia, reported to them this past December that she was sexually abused in 1987 by Richard Manning Senior in Woodbridge, Va. The woman was 12 at the time of the alleged abuse.

Police arrested Senior, 59, of Owings Mills, Md. and charged him with aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties with a child and object sexual penetration.

He is being held without bond.
