WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a fight that broke out at a Metro station overnight that left two people slashed.
Investigators say the fight apparently started on the platform of the Shaw-Howard University Metro station about 2 a.m. Saturday. Two groups got into a verbal altercation that then turned physical.
Officials say one group consisted of three women and one man. The second group included seven to 10 people.
During the fight, a man and a woman received lacerations to their hands and backs. They were taken to a hospital. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
