WHITE OAK, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Montgomery County police are investigating a collision in White Oak that killed a man.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 29 and Oak Drive.
Police say Charles Oppong Aboagye, 44, tripped while crossing the southbound lanes of Route 29 and was struck by an approaching Nissan Ultima. Aboagye, who lived in Silver Spring, died at the scene before authorities arrived. The driver of the Nissan, 43-year-old Kym Nwosu, remained at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
