LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A 14-year-old boy who was hit by a taxi in Oxon Hill Thursday night is still in critical condition at a local hospital.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Wheeler Road. The victim was was crossing the street in an area without a crosswalk when he was struck by the cab, according to Prince George’s County police.
The car fled but a witness gave police a good description of the taxi, which was later found at the Southern Avenue Metro Station. The driver was with the vehicle, and charges against him are pending. Speed does appear to be a factor in the incident.
