LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A teenager was seriously injured and a taxi driver was arrested after a hit-and-run in Oxon Hill on Thursday night.
The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. in the 4700 block of Wheeler Road, according to the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department. Police said the male victim was was crossing the street in an area without a crosswalk when he was struck by the taxi.
The car fled but a witness gave police a good description of the cab. Police located the car and its driver, who now is in custody for questioning.
The teen suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma center where he is in critical condition.
