WASHINGTON — A District of Columbia man was convicted at his third trial of killing a teenage boy in 2010.

Raymond Roseboro was found guilty Wednesday of first-degree premeditated murder while armed and weapons charges.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on April 10 and faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years.

Prosecutors said Roseboro fatally shot 16-year-old Prince Okorie, a student at Roosevelt Senior High School, shortly after the end of classes on Nov. 30, 2010.

Two previous trials had ended in hung juries, but prosecutors at this trial presented additional evidence to rebut Roseboro’s alibi that he was home with his girlfriend at the time of the killing.

Roseboro testified in his own defense at trial, and his attorney has maintained that his client was not the gunman.
