LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Police have discovered a body in Fairfax County near where they found the car of a missing Clifton man.
Fairfax County police said the body, which they have yet to identify, was found Wednesday afternoon near Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville. Police said they found a white Toyota Highlander belonging to Brian Woodworth, 27, near the park Tuesday night.
Woodworth was reported missing Sunday at about 5 p.m., several hours after he apparently went to a local sporting goods store and never returned.
Members of Woodworth’s family said he was supposed to leave for a trip to Costa Rica on Tuesday but did not show up for that departure.
Police said they are waiting on the medical examiner to rule on the reason for death.
