LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — As has become common practice during the past week or so, another round of snow is expected in the D.C. area Monday evening.
Skies will become increasingly cloudier throughout the day and snow showers should arrive by the evening. Most of the D.C. area won’t see any snow until about 8 p.m., but some areas north and west of the District could see some snow for the evening commute.
Everything should wrap up by 2 a.m., with the District and areas south receiveing up to an inch of snow and areas to the north seeing up to 2 inches.
The expected snow comes after three straight days of snow flurries over the weekend, despite very little of it remaining on the ground.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high of 44 and more light snow is possible Tuesday night.
Temperatures should move into the 50s by the end of the week.
