BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Ravens are receiving good wishes and congratulations from all corners, including from members of Maryland’s congressional delegation.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski calls Baltimore a “world-class city with world-class fans” and says she’s looking forward to welcoming the Ravens back and celebrating Sunday night’s Super Bowl victory.
U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings says he’s proud of the Ravens for winning, especially because they were underdogs and many commentators had counted them out against the San Francisco 49ers.
Both called the Super Bowl win a fitting sendoff for Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who is retiring after 17 seasons with the team.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who danced and sang with Ravens fans in New Orleans, said the city will host a parade on Tuesday.
