(LANHAM, Md.) — Four masked men made off with just over $128,000 in stolen jewelry in Pentagon City, Arlington police say.
The men smashed display cases with hammers inside Zales Jewelers at the Fashion Centre mall around 11 a.m. Monday.
After scooping up 27 rings, they exited the mall to the nearest parking garage where a getaway driver was waiting.
The group fled the scene, crashing through the exit arm of the garage.
Employees were in the store at the time of the robbery but no one was injured.
