ANNAPOLIS, Md. — President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Annapolis next week.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said Friday that the president will attend the Democratic Senate Caucus retreat.

The event, which is closed to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday at an Annapolis hotel.

The president is scheduled to speak at the event. Carney said he did not have a preview of the remarks.
