LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — On Monday, it was sunny and in the 70s. Wednesday brought heavy rains and strong winds. So, what can the D.C. area expect on Friday?
It’s been a wacky week for weather around the nation’s capital and it’s not over yet.
Forecasts are calling for light snow early Friday morning which could impact the morning commute.
Snow showers are expected to begin in the metro area about 6 a.m. Friday morning and could leave up to an inch of snow before the system moves out of the area by 9 a.m. If the ground is cold enough, roads and sidewalks could become slick.
The rest of Friday will be blustery, with intervals of clouds and sun, and a high of 36. It will get chilly on Friday night, with a low dropping down to 22.
Saturday should be cold as well, with sun giving way to clouds by the afternoon. There’s a chance of a rain or snow shower on Sunday with a high of 43.
