LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- Like animals? How about pastries?
The 12th annual “Sugar and Champagne Affair,” benefiting the Washington Humane Society, will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on Thursday.
The VIP event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. is sold out, but a general reception is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Chef Todd Gray and Ellen Kassoff Gray, of Equinox Restaurant, will host.
The event honors Washington Humane Society’s humane law enforcement officers, animal care and control officers, humane educators and “humane heroes,” community members who have supported the society’s services and programs. Wares of some of the region’s top pasty chefs will be showcased.
