WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - A person was killed and two paramedics hurt in an accident involving at least four cars in the District Friday afternoon.
D.C. Fire says a car was heading northbound on Route 5 at Suitland Parkway when it crashed into the back of an ambulance around 2 p.m. One person was killed.
The paramedics were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Southern Avenue was blocked for hours near 12th Street, SE and diverted to Suitland Parkway.
