WASHINGTON— United Airlines says two airplanes clipped wings at a gate at Dulles International Airport.
The accident occurred around 2:30 Thursday afternoon. United says in a statement that an arriving flight from Brussels was approaching the gate when a wingtip collided with the wingtip of a parked United aircraft.
An airport spokesman says no one was injured in the incident and no hazardous materials were spilled. The passengers on the Brussels flight departed normally, and no one was on board the second plane.
United says maintenance workers are inspecting the planes to determine if there was any damage.
