DUMFRIES, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — Prince William County police say the two brothers wanted for the murder of a Dumfries woman have been arrested in Florida.
Douglas Tolliver, 29, and Christopher Tolliver, 27, both of Dumfries, were located in North Palm Beach, Fla., on Wednesday and taken into custody. On Monday, their older brother Reginald Tolliver, 38, was arrested in Dumfries in connection to the shooting death of 35-year-old Tasheka Leavell on Jan. 17.
The three brothers all face charges of first-degree murder.
Police received a call about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 17 that gunshots had been fired in the 17600 block of Washington Street. A man who lives at Leavell’s address told police that she answered a knock at the door and had an argument with the visitor before shots were fired.
Leavell sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say the Tollivers knew Leavell but have not revealed a motive.
Reginald Tolliver is being detained without bond in Prince William County. His younger brothers are being detained without bond in Florida and are awaiting extradition to Prince William County.
Court dates for all three brothers were unavailable.
