FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Prince George’s County Police say they will hold a community meeting to discuss the weekend shooting death of a Fort Washington high school student.
Police say the meeting will be held Wednesday evening at Friendly High School in Fort Washington. Department command staff will be on hand to address questions and concerns by the community about the investigation into the shooting death of 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones.
Prince George’s County school officials, meanwhile, say counselors were being made available Tuesday at the high school attended by the student. Police say Jones was walking to a car after leaving a home when he was shot. And they say investigators have substantial leads and are working to identify the suspect and a motive.
