FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Prince George’s County police say they are investigating the shooting death of a teenager in Fort Washington.

Police say police were called to the 7700 block of Webster Lane about midnight Saturday for a shooting. Officers found 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones outside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police say the teenager was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say they have determined that the Fort Washington teen was walking to a car after leaving a home when he was shot by an unknown suspect who then ran from the scene. Police say investigators have substantial leads and they are working to identify the suspect and a motive.
