LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- A teenage girl escaped an attacker at her Prince George’s County bus stop Thursday morning.
It was about 6:30 a.m. when the Fort Washington student was approached by an adult male near the intersection of Lourdes Drive and Hickory Drive. The man grabbed her and they both fell to the ground, but she was able to kick the attacker and run away.
The girl’s father called the Prince George’s County Police, who positioned marked cruisers at the three bus stops in the vicinity of the assault Thursday afternoon. Officers are also canvassing the area and following up on leads.
The girl described the suspect as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.
