WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — The president and first lady were seen smiling as they road on an open-top tour bus through D.C. on Thursday morning, causing people on the street to do double-takes.
No, it wasn’t the real Barack and Michelle Obama, but the wax figures that depicted them were realistic enough to fool some onlookers.
The re-styled wax figures arrived at Madame Tussauds in Northwest D.C. on Thursday after departing Union Station earlier in the morning.
As the wax-made Obamas were helped off the bus, at the corner of 10th and F streets, they were greeted by former presidential couples Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, and John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy.
