LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A number of free flu shot clinics are being held around the Washington region this week as widespread reports of the virus continue to surface.
In Laurel, a free flu shot clinic is being held from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Laurel Regional Hospital for local residents. No appointments are necessary and the even is free to the public.

In Columbia, the Health Department is offering free vaccines at the Columbia Health Center on Thursday by appointment only. Additional clinics are planned for Jan. 24 – 25 where walk-ins will be welcomed, but appointments are still encouraged.

In Montgomery County, health officials are offering two free clinics over the next week by appointment only. On Friday morning, vaccines will be distributed at the Germantown Health Center. On Jan. 22 a clinic is being held at the Dennis Avenue Health Center in Silver Spring.
