LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- To attendees of President Barack Obama’s first swearing-in ceremony in 2009, it may have seemed like the entire country was packed onto the National Mall for the historic moment. To the contrary, not everyone who may want to see the event live actually can.
This time around, the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) has an app for that. Both iPhone and Android users can download the PIC app, which provides livestream video of official events, blog content highlighting unique stories and aspects of the Inauguration and the ability to look up National Day of Service events around the country.
For those who do plan to attend the festivities, it will also feature maps leading to access points, portable toilets and viewing screens.
