WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - A pedestrian was struck by a Metrobus while riding his bike in Northeast Thursday evening.

D.C. Fire says the man was struck near the Checkers in the 2300 block of New York Avenue at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Officials say he was conscious and breathing.

The investigation is ongoing.
